More and more, people are being encouraged to take
responsibility for their own learning development.
By developing a corporate wide self learning program,
the company can demonstrate its commitment to pursue
a learning culture.
By preparing different formats, such as booklets, CDs
or via the internet, the individual can learn at their
own pace using a choice of training format.
While learning by yourself, it would be great to have
access to someone to whom you can ask a question. You
can submit exercises for the trainer to verify and provide
feedback.
The trainer can be live on-line at specific times of
the day to answer questions. Outside of these times,
questions can be transmitted by email with the guarantee
of receiving a response within an agreed time frame.
Forums and discussion groups would be set up to allow
everyone to network and exchange ideas or viewpoints
relevant to the subject matter.
